Average retail gasoline prices in Jacksonville have risen 1.1 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $3.74/g yesterday. This compares with the national average that has increased 3.7 cents per gallon in the last week to $3.80/g, according to gasoline price website JacksonvilleGasPrices.com.

Ride the Beaches Trolley FREE on Sunday, April 17

The Beaches Trolley, a year?round service running between Atlantic Beach and Jacksonville Beach, including Neptune Beach, will be FREE on Sunday, April 17 in honor of the official Opening of the Beaches for summer fun. The Beaches Trolley will run from 5:46 a.m. to 12:43 a.m. Its route covers approximately five miles with nearly 40 stops in each direction including the Atlantic Village Shopping Center, Hugenot Park, Jacksonville Beach City Hall and the South Beach Regional Shopping Center. Hop on or off at any stop without paying a thing, and leave traffic and parking hassles behind!

Jacksonville Weekly Gas Price Update, April 11

Average retail gasoline prices in Jacksonville have risen 7.1 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $3.70/g yesterday. This compares with the national average that has increased 7.7 cents per gallon in the last week to $3.74/g, according to gasoline price website JacksonvilleGasPrices.com.

Including the change in gas prices in Jacksonville during the past week, prices yesterday were 89.0 cents per gallon higher than the same day one year ago and are 18.6 cents per gallon higher than a month ago. The national average has increased 21.0 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 87.2 cents per gallon higher than this day one year ago.

I-10 resurfacing and widening project between Lane Avenue and Halsema Road

I-10 westbound from Lane Avenue to the I-295 on ramp WILL BE TOTALLY CLOSED from 10 p.m. on Saturday, April 9 until 8 a.m. on Sunday, April 10. Detour signs will be posted. The ramp to I-10 westbound from Lane Avenue WILL BE TOTALLY CLOSED from 8 p.m. on Saturday, April 9 until 7 p.m. on Sunday, April 10. Detour signs will be posted.  The I-10 westbound off ramp to I-295 WILL BE TOTALLY CLOSED from 10 p.m. on Saturday, April 9 until 12 p.m. on Sunday, April 10. Detour signs will be constructed. I-10 eastbound from SR 23 to I-295 MAY BE TOTALLY CLOSED from 10 p.m. on Thursday, April 14 until 5 a.m. on Friday, April 15. Single eastbound lanes will be closed between 6:30 p.m. and 5 a.m. and westbound lanes may be closed between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. from Sunday, April 10 to Thursday, April 14. This project is scheduled to be completed in the spring of 2012.

This compares with the national average that has increased 7.4 cents per gallon in the last week to $3.64/g, according to gasoline price website JacksonvilleGasPrices.com.
