Crash with Injuries at Southside and Philips Hwy | Transportation

Traffic at Southside Boulevard and Philips Highway, near Haverty's and Kangaroo, is being rerouted through the Avenues Mall following a wreck, according to a viewer tip.

A wreck with injuries closed all lanes of Philips Highway at Interstate 95 on the Southside, said Jacksonville Sheriff's Office spokesperson Dewayne Richardson.

Tom Francis, a spokesman for Jacksonville Fire Rescue, said one victim was taken to a trauma center via helicopter.
