JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Early voting gets underway in Duval County on Monday at 8 branch library locations and two offices of the Supervisor of Elections.

The polling places open at 10 a.m. and close each day at 6 p.m. during the week for the next two weeks.  On weekends the hours for voting are shorter, 12 - 4 p.m.

The library locations include: Beaches, Highlands, Mandarin, Regency Square, South Mandarin, Southeast,  Webb-Wesconnett, and West Regional.

The Supervisor of Elections main office downtown and on Norwood Avenue also handling early voting.

"We are right now looking for about a 47% overall turnout," said Supervisor of Elections Jerry Holland.

The mayor's race is attracting the most attention with six candidates on the ballot and four write-ins.   Other races on the ballot are  for sheriff, city council and tax collector.
