JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office responded to a crash at Philips Hwy and Gran Bay Pkwy late Friday morning.

According to JSO detectives on scene, a Jacksonville Sheriff's Office deputy was stopped at a red light when another car rear ended his patrol vehicle.

The rear-end collision was allegedly caused by the driver being distracted by nearby construction, according to JSO.

Only minor injuries have been reported. The driver, his passenger and the deputy were taken to Baptist South with non-life threatening injuries.
