JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Two children were found living in a mobile home covered in flies and feces while the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office investigated a suspected meth lab Wednesday evening.

Police were called to the 13000 block of Wheeling Lane after neighbors alerted them to a suspicious situation in the mobile home.

When Police arrived, Sgt. David Kenney said they found the home without power and two children living in squalor.

Crystal meth residue was also found inside the home and the remnants of an inactive meth lab.

A man and a woman are now in custody. The two children are staying with relatives.

Police say surrounding homes were not affected.
