FC JAX Destroyers and Children’s Miracle Network to Host “A Night to Remember”
The FC JAX Destroyers and the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals are pleased to announce a joint effort in hosting a community event on July 21 that is sure to be a night to remember.

The FC JAX Destroyers’ July 21st match against the Central Florida Kraze will feature Jacksonville local Haley Richardson, the 2011 Florida Champion representative for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in the coin toss to begin the game. Richardson was treated at Wolfson Children’s Hospital for Osteosercoma and was selected as the state representative for her bravery battling and overcoming the cancer. Miracle Children will also be present and sing the national anthem as well as serve as the ball boys and girls during the game.

Weather Still Looks Bad for Shuttle's Final Flight | NEW SLIDESHOWS

KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, Fla. -- The weather still isn't cooperating with the final shuttle launch scheduled for Friday morning.

Mission managers said this morning there is a 70 percent chance bad weather will force a delay. They could launch Saturday or Sunday, but if it's delayed past Sunday they would have to wait a couple of weeks for an unmanned rocket launch.

But the countdown clock is still set for a Friday launch shortly after 11 a.m. NASA officials say they just need a small window through the clouds to launch.

St. Vincent’s HealthCare Foundation Announces Celebrity Chef for Food and Wine Tasting Event

Often hailed as the “Father of Wine Country Cuisine,” Chef John Ash will be featured St. Vincent’s HealthCare Foundation’s 10th anniversary Delicious Destinations Celebrity Chef by the Sea Champagne Reception and Luncheon on Thursday, September 8 at 11:30 am at the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club.

John Ash is a renowned chef, author, and food and wine educator. His restaurant, John Ash & Company, in Santa Rosa, California, uses local, seasonal ingredients to create dishes that complement the wines produced in the region. John has co-hosted a food and wine radio talk show for 23 years, and has also hosted his own TV show on the Food Network. He is an adjunct instructor at the Culinary Institute of America at Greystone in the Napa Valley, and was voted “Cooking School Teacher of the Year” by the International Association of Culinary Professionals in 2008.
