Jim Abbott to Speak at Brooks Rehabilitation’s Celebrate Independence Event Saturday | Events
Brooks Rehabilitation invites you to join us as we Celebrate Independence on Saturday, March 3, 2012 from 9:00 am – 2:30 pm. This FREE event will feature insightful speakers, exciting demonstrations, exhibits, health screenings, and refreshments. Our keynote speaker will be Jim Abbott, the famed one-handed Major League Baseball player who overcame the birth defect of having only one hand to become an amazing professional pitcher and ball player.
Today, in addition to often being a Guest Pitching Instructor during Spring Training for the Los Angeles Angels, Jim Abbott is a motivational speaker. Jim will talk of how he overcame adversity and show that people can overcome perceived limitations and reach their dreams.
Celebrate Independence will be held at Brooks Rehabilitation Hospital, 3599 University Blvd. S., Jacksonville, FL 32216.
