Largest Children's Consignment Sale in First Coast area starts Thursday! | Business
The Finders Keepers Children's Consignment Sale returns for its Spring show March 29-31, 2012. The sale offers First Coast families and shoppers the opportunity to purchase new or excellent condition items for a fraction of the cost they would pay new.
The bi-annual sale fills the 24,000-square-foot auditorium at the Morocco Shrine Center located at 3800 St. Johns Bluff Road in Jacksonville.
“This year we are expecting about 375 consignors,” says Lisa Sadie, founder of the event. “That is a record for us. We have to limit the number of consignors this year because there simply isn’t enough room to showcase it all.”
Sadie says shoppers can expect to find spring/summer clothing for boys and girls, costumes, furniture, high chairs, cribs, mattresses, bedding, swings, strollers, toys, bicycles, books, electronics, games and much more! “Some items still have price tags on them,” Sadie says. All items are checked for quality prior to being displayed on the show floor. “We work diligently in the days leading up the event to ensure all items are in excellent condition. We don’t accept clothing with stains or tears, and toys and furniture are required to be cleaned thoroughly before they can be put out for sale.”
The consignment sale opens to the public on March 29 from 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., March 30 from 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., and on March 31 from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. for the half price extravaganza.
Volunteers are needed to assist with various sale activities and receive reduced consignor fees as well as a preview shopping night before the public.
Consignors can choose to donate unsold items to various First Coast charities including Lea’s Place, www.leasplace.org, Divine Mercy House, www.divinemercyhouse.org , For Child Advocacy, www.forchildadvocacy.org/ , and The Florida School for the Deaf and Blind, http://www.fsdb.k12.fl.us/ .
